This passive full-height Mini SAS slot-bracket adapter (for standard PCI/PCIe slots) provides you with an external 26pin mini SAS port (SFF-8088) that connects to an internal 36pin mini SAS port (SFF-8087). The adapter can be placed in all server- and PC-chassis with regular full-height PCI/PCIe slot-openings. Matching internal and external SAS cables are available separately from us.
Together with our external SAS-chassis - which features an external 26pin mini SAS Port (SFF-8088) - and with matching SAS cables it becomes possible to create highly flexible external storage-solutions - for example external SAS streamer devices or external harddisk RAID systems in an external chassis.
