Fans with ball bearings are particularly robust and ensure an exceptionally long service life - however, they are louder in operation than fans with sleeve bearings. Fans with ball bearings are predestined for use in server systems or industrial environments with high-speed 24/7 operation. For silent enthusiasts, however, we recommend models with sleeve bearings.
