Extremely short (only 36cm long) 19 inch specialized rackmount chassis with 2U and front-access - allowing quick access to all connectors and plug-in cards from the chassis-front. The mainboard is installed with the connectors facing the front - an installation of external drives (like DVD-ROM, streamer) is not possible. Internally there is room for up to two 3.5 inch hard disks and one 2.5 inch drive. The special construction of this chassis type allows the installation of the very short case in narrow 19 inch cabinets as well as easy access to all relevant mainboard ports and plug-in card connections.
The case supports micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards. Common ATX power supplies can be used, if they allow a ventilation to the rear by 80mm fan and have a maximum depth of 14cm. The use of power supplies with a large 120mm fan and side ventilation is *not* possible.

A versatil case In terms of features, this case has the big advantage for me of having the motherboard ports on the front. For information, in September 2024, Yakkaroo also sells on Amazon (around 97% positive reviews in France and Germany, for 250 reviews in total) and on Ebay (100% positive reviews on more than 20,000 items sold).

Access to the motherboard backplate is TOP! The build quality of this case is very good, I had no problem with mounting the motherboard into it. However, for that price I would expect a little more: 1) cut out the back panel for the fans, and use the grill instead, to increase the air flow. I have replaced them with Noctua, so the original ones become trash, which I had to pay for :( 3) there are no mountpoints for cables in the case. Der HD Cage ist durch die Nähe zum PSU wegen den Kabeln etwas schwer zugänglich. Grosses Plus, dass das Motherboard mit den Anschlüssen nach Vorne platziert wird. Die Lüfter habe ich durch Silent Varianten ersetzt. All in all stimmt Preis / Leistung für mich bei dem Gehäuse.

Solution to a problem The overall quality of case, finishing - no sharp edges no complaints. Screw threads are disappointment, -1 star for that 4/5 pts. No accessories included, must purchase separately; like hdd adapters etc. -0.5 star, totalling 3.5/5 stars No fixing points inside chassis to strap cabling, must use glue anchors which have tendency to pop off. I need to relocate the powersupply further 3cm inwards as I have pretty tight space and power cord sticking, even I use 90 deg cord is problematic. Speed of delivery was excellent. Id propably purchase again.

Dafür hat der Deckel - entgegen der Abbildung - im Bereich des Netzteils Löcher, so dass man auch normale Netzteile mit 120mm Lüfter und Entlüftung nach oben verwenden kann. Das macht die Netzteilauswahl etwas leichter. :-)

Super Gehäuse Ich habe gerne alle Anschlüsse vorne weil ich viel umstecke und dieses Gehäuse ist perfekt dafür. Für das einbauen von HDDs muss man den ganzen Rahmen entfernen, damit man auf beiden Seiten an die Schrauben kommt. Dafür braucht man einen langen, dünnen und magnetischen Schraubenzieher.
