External high quality SAS / SATA drive-chassis with three 5 1/4 inch drive bays. The chassis is suitable for the installation of SAS/SATA backplanes, streamers and 5 1/4 inch drives of all types. Externally, the chassis features a SFF-8088 mini SAS connector and internally a SFF-8087 mini SAS connector. Up to four SATA channels can be led out of the chassis using an optional external SFF-8088 mini SAS cable.
Via different optional internal SAS/SATA cables, it is possible to install a variety of SAS/SATA devices into the chassis. The base-configuration of the chassis includes the chassis with the power-supply, the SAS connector with SFF-8088/SFF-8087 ports but no internal or external cables - except for the power-cable. Matching internal and external SAS cables are separately available from us.
