This 19-inch 2U server system is designed for compact installation situations, high energy efficiency and basic server operation — while keeping your IT budget in check. The device is based on an Intel® C262 server chipset and is, naturally, suitable for 24/7 operation. The extremely short 19-inch server housing with a depth of only 38 cm is very robust and enables professional operation in a 19-inch environment. The processor selection and power supply are primarily designed for energy-saving operation rather than maximum computing power. For applications with higher performance requirements, we also offer this system in the advanced “Performance” and “PRO” configurations.
The compact 2U server system is designed for 24/7 operation and is suitable for all standard tasks that require an affordable, energy-efficient, and robust 19-inch server. It is based on a high-quality server motherboard from Kontron with an Intel C262 server chipset, which was developed for continuous operation and guarantees long-term availability of 5+ years. It offers all modern standards such as USB 3.2 Gen.2 interfaces, 4 x SATA-600 ports with RAID option, and 2 x M.2 2280/22110 sockets (NVMe/M-Key) for the use of up to two NVMe SSDs. The NVMe SSDs can also be operated as RAID 0/1. For network connectivity, there are two integrated Intel® I210AT Gigabit LAN ports with teaming support. As is usual with servers, only a simple graphics output via DisplayPort is available for graphics. System management offers management functions such as Kontron Open BMC, Redfish, or IPMI via a dedicated third LAN port.
The basic configuration of the system includes an Intel® Core i3-12100 quad-core processor (4 x 3.3GHz / 12th generation / “Alder Lake”) and 8GB DDR5-5600 Kingston RAM. Various processor types and a maximum memory expansion of up to 128GB RAM are available as options. Different backplanes and storage devices can also be configured into the system using the options listed below.
We manufacture the “Eco” series exclusively with particularly efficient Intel® processors from the Core i3/i5 categories. Extremely power-saving processor variants with “T” coding and a TDP of 35W are also available. The series is aimed at all users who need an energy-efficient, compact system for continuous use and for whom processor performance is a secondary consideration. When using “T” processors, the “Eco” series can optionally easily be configured as a silent system.
We are pleased to install mainboards from Kontron again in this current system series, which offer the highest quality through german development and production. The mainboards are manufactured in the Kontron factory in Bavaria, so that the supply-distances for this product can be kept extremely short. The plant in Bavaria was taken over by Kontron from Fujitsu in 2019 and is one of the last european production sites of this kind.
After system-assembly, the completed system receives an extensive and thorough system-test before being shipped. Included in the scope of supply are the complete mainboard-accessories, a blue power-cord (please contact us if you need a special cord) and several short-length SATA-cables for hassle-free cabling of your devices. The previous description of the system is the basic layout - you can choose between different configurations of your system below. Please note that the system does not include an operating system.
Please note the following:
- only low-profile PCI/PCI-E expansion-cards may be installed into this system.
- only up to two 3.5 inch harddisks may be installed in the 3.5 inch modules due to confined space. Further harddisks would interfere with the mainboard.
