Our "Emu S3i-Q670 XL PRO" is a professional mini-server for 19-inch rack mount installation. We build the "Emu XL"-series based on an extremely compact 19-inch rackmount chassis with an exceptional height of 1.5U and only 28.5cm length. The chassis offers direct front-side access for up to two hot-swappable 3.5 inch harddisks (or two 2.5 inch SSDs) plus internal installation options for a maximum of two 2.5 inch SSDs and one NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD.
The Emu S3i-Q670 XL PRO is an ultra-compact, professional all-round system. It can handle classic server tasks, but can also be used as an industrial system for a wide variety of applications. The system is based on a high-quality, compact Kontron K3836-Q industrial motherboard with Intel Q670 chipset, which was developed for 24/7 operation and guarantees long-term availability. It offers all modern standards such as USB 3.2 Gen.2 interfaces, 4 x SATA-600 connections with RAID 0/1/5/10 option, and an M.2 2280 socket (NVMe/M-Key) for use with an NVMe SSD. The design is rounded off by four DisplayPort 1.4a ports that can be used in parallel and two integrated Gigabit LAN ports – each with an Intel chipset (Intel i219LM (1Gbit) / i225LM (2.5Gbit)) – as well as up to two serial RS232 ports.
The system is cooled by two 60mm PWM high-performance fans at the front. At the rear, two 40mm PWM high-performance fans with a maximum of 15k revolutions per minute provide further ventilation. The processor is cooled by a special Dynatron radial fan, which dissipates the waste heat towards the rear of the device. Please note that the system has a relatively high noise level and is not necessarily recommended for use in direct proximity to the workplace.
In the basic configuration, the system comes with an Intel Core i3-12100 quad-core processor (4 x 3.3GHz / 12th generation / "Alder-Lake") as well as 8GB DDR5-5600 Kingston RAM. Various processor types and a maximum memory expansion of up to 96GB RAM are optionally available. With the options listed below, various hard disks or SSDs can also be configured in the system. After system-assembly, the completed system receives an extensive and thorough system-test before being shipped. In addition to the server system, the scope of supply includes the complete mainboard accessories including a printed manual, one blue 2.0m Cat6 network-cable, a blue power cable, a set of small parts and several short-length SATA-cables for hassle-free cabling of your devices. The system will be shipped without operating-system.
