Our "Emu S7i-C262 XL PRO" is a professional mini-server for 19-inch rack mounting. We build the "Emu XL"-series based on an extremely compact 19-inch rackmount chassis with an exceptional height of 1.5U and only 28.5cm length. The chassis offers direct front-side access for up to two hot-swappable 3.5 inch harddisks (or two 2.5 inch SSDs) plus internal installation options for a maximum of two 2.5 inch SSDs and one NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD. The system can either be equipped with standard processors of the 12th-14th generation (intel Core i5 / i7) or with server processors of the intel XEON E-2400 oder Xeon 6300 series.It offers dual Gigabit LAN, onboard IPMI and support for ECC memory modules when using XEON processors.
The server-systems of the "Emu XL"-series meet all expectations that are being set for modern mini-servers: they are compact, versatile, robust and very powerful. They provide data-security (for example with a mirror-RAID) as well as maximum connectivity and work extremely fast - also due to the possibility of SATA SSD or NVMe SSD system-drive integration.
The “Emu S7i-C262 XL PRO” is an ultra-compact and professional mini-server: in addition to standard processors (intel Core i5/i7), the system can also be equipped with intel XEON processors and ECC memory modules. It offers two Gigabit LAN connections (2 x intel) as well as a separate remote management port with IPMI 2.0 support. The integrated Aspeed AST2600 BMC offers a graphics-unit with a D-Sub VGA connector. Two USB 3.2 ports (Gen1), two USB 2.0 ports and a serial port are also integrated at the rear. A total of six SATA-600 connectors with intel RST RAID support can be perfectly combined with the two front-side 2.5"/3.5" harddisk-trays. We recommend the installation of two mirrored harddisks or SSDs in the harddisk-trays. Additionally, up to two 2.5" SSD drives plus one NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD can be integrated as internal system-drives.
The system is cooled by two 60mm PWM high-performance fans at the front. At the rear, two 40mm PWM high-performance fans with a maximum of 15k revolutions per minute provide further ventilation. The processor is cooled by a special Dynatron radial fan, which dissipates the waste heat towards the rear of the device. Please note that the system has a relatively high noise level and is not necessarily recommended for use in direct proximity to the workplace.
A compact Supermicro X13SCL-IF ITX server mainboard is used as the basis. In the basic configuration, the system is supplied with a modern intel Core i5-14500 14-core processor and 16GB Kingston DDR5 RAM. Various processor types and a maximum memory expansion of up to 64GB RAM (also with ECC) are optionally available. With the options listed below, various hard disks or SSDs can also be configured in the system. If you require a configuration that is not listed in the options, please contact us directly - we will be happy to provide you with a quote for a customized system.
Note: Please note that we recommend this system exclusively for use with server operating systems and not for use with Windows 10/11.
After system-assembly, the completed system receives an extensive and thorough system-test before being shipped. In addition to the server system, the scope of supply includes the complete mainboard accessories including a printed manual, one blue 2.0m Cat6 network-cable, a blue power cable, a set of small parts and several short-length SATA-cables for hassle-free cabling of your devices. The system will be shipped without operating-system.
